To keep landscapes vibrant year-round, Para Space plants a variety of seasonal displays. These include fall annuals, primula, and spring-summer annuals. This October, we kicked off our big fall annual plant-up, and we’re replacing the past season’s annuals with hardier ones for the autumn season. Our annual plant-ups are always a busy and exciting time of the year!
This Fall Season
This season, we’re planting a total of 30,000 plants, including Hedera, Carex, Heuchera, Helleborus, Nandina, Euonymus ‘Happiness,’ dusty miller, pansies, and more.
Preparing Our Fall Annual Displays
A lot of work, love, and care goes into the displays on the landscapes we maintain and oversee. After plants are carefully ordered, our talented warehouse team receives and organizes the plant deliveries. They prepare plants by irrigating, deadheading, and arranging them in our yard, which helps to streamline the load-up process for our crews.
While some members of our warehouse team prepare plants, others are busy installing them. These installations range from smaller displays at stratas and complexes, like Triomphe in Burnaby, to larger installations, such as those seen at Granville Island.
A Modest Plant-Up
One of our crews recently completed the annual displays at Triomphe. They removed old plants, organized new placements of annuals, and installed displays comprised of Leucothoe, Buxus, Heuchera, Skimmia, and pansies!
By the end of our fall season, we’ll have planted at 184 properties across the Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland!
