The Para Space team participates in many fun events, but none are more rewarding than when we have an opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work. Along with our Community Spirit Day, the annual Day of Service is an event we all look forward to.
For 2014, our project took us to the Langley Memorial Hospital. We designed and created a tranquil oasis at the long term care facility, with a soothing water feature, pathway with benches, and a landscape full of colourful and interesting plants. We also completed a renovation of the hospital’s main entrance. New plants and a clean stone finish for the planted beds and existing pots, as well as some stunning new pots for the entrance.
Thanks to the more than 50 Para Space team members and families, and a special thanks to the community volunteers who joined us for this great project. Thanks also to our industry friends who helped by donating some of the important materials – Atlas Pots, Heritage Perennials, Northwest Landscape & Stone Supply, Landscape Construction Centre, Meadows Landscape Supply, West Creek Farms, Golden Spruce Nurseries, and Edgewater Plants.
See below for some photos of this great event. Thanks again to all involved
