After two exciting nominations, Para Space Landscaping is proud to announce that we have won the Award of Excellence for Commercial Landscape Maintenance for UBC’s “Prodigy!” We received this prestigious award at this year’s 21st National Awards of Landscape Excellence (NALE) ceremony in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With this August marking the 45th anniversary of Para Space, this award was a fantastic way to celebrate the occasion.
The National Awards
The NALE ceremony, organized by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA),celebrates the highest standards in the Canadian landscape industry. Established in 1922, the CNLA is a not-for-profit organization with a long history of supporting the green industry across Canada. This year’s awards marked the second year of the Circle of Excellence. They recognized outstanding achievements in landscape maintenance, construction, and design. Each province nominated members from their provincial Awards of Excellence, who then competed at the national level.
Two Nominations and An Award!
In Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Para Space held two of the top three nominations in the NALE Circle of Excellence. Our projects, Residences at Lynn Valley II and Prodigy, were highlighted. This prestigious circle recognizes industry professionals who demonstrate exceptional skill in their fields.
This year, we not only received nominations but won the National Award of Excellence for Commercial Landscape Maintenance for Prodigy! Previously, Prodigy and Residences at Lynn Valley II earned the BC Landscape Excellence Award. Connecting with other professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact like Para Space was both refreshing and rewarding.
Prodigy
Prodigy, located at UBC and nestled against Pacific Spirit Park, has been meticulously maintained weekly since 2017.
This property stands out with our diverse selection of plants, flowering shrubs, perennials, formal hedging, and a stunning water feature. Collaborating with the Garden Liaison, our team introduced hardier plants to withstand regional weather conditions, ensuring the garden’s resilience and beauty.
