A Job Worth Doing is Worth Doing Together

The 2017 Para Space Day of Service was an opportunity for staff to unite and demonstrate environmental stewardship and humanitarianism by giving back to our community. This year we partnered with Yaletown House, a non-profit care facility for seniors requiring complex care. The project involved enhancing the rooftop garden planters for use in horticultural therapy to promote residents’ health and well-being. We’d also like to thank Atlas Pots and Golden Spruce Nursery for their generous donations of supplies and materials to help with this project.

“As I sit in my office listening to the pounding rain outside, I am so grateful for the beautiful sunny Sunday we enjoyed.  Your volunteers were so helpful and a pleasure to work with.  Thank you.” – from Lynn Parkin, Director
