Whoa… what’s that smell?

Deciduous trees are susceptible to numerous pests and diseases. For example, aphids damage leaves and transmit viruses; caterpillar larvae and mites over winter and cause problems during the growing season; black spot and powdery mildew are damaging fungal diseases; and both moss and algae can harm trees. During the winter months we use special product applications to prevent such problems. However, the product stinks literally like rotten eggs! Though the smell doesn’t last long, the benefits of the treatment does and it is the BEST protection against insect infestations on deciduous trees. The treatments are completely safe and the Pest Management Regulatory Agency, a branch of Health Canada, has approved Lime Sulphur for use throughout Canada. As well, the BC Government approves its use under the Integrated Pest Management Regulation and ALL Metro Vancouver municipalities permit its use.
